By now, you’ve no doubt heard Jeff Lorber Fusion‘s “Big Brother” on Smooth Jazz V98.7 HD2, which comes straight from the new album, Galaxy. But did you know it’s set for release in just a week, on Tuesday, January 31st?
Preview & go behind the scenes of Jeff Lorber Fusion’s ‘Galaxy’

Winter is a cold and frightening time of the year for thousands of Michigan families who are struggling to heat their homes.
The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) has been assisting Michigan residents facing an emergency energy crisis for 26 years and we anticipate the “need” this year to be greater than ever.
Heat and lights during a Michigan winter are a necessity, not a luxury. During the cold months ahead many are faced with unimaginable choices such as heating or eating, those most vulnerable in these conditions are children, seniors and people with serious medical conditions.
To help those facing such a crisis, WWJ Newsradio 950 and The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) are partnering for the ninth annual Winter Survival Radiothon. Your pledge to THAW will warm a heart and a home. more
You know Rick Braun as a trumpet player, many of his songs are Smooth Jazz classics and we always look forward to new releases from Rick. But this year Rick Braun released a CD with a twist. He is singing! And he sings well. His song Time After Time is the new Feedback Track, click here to visit the Feedback Track page and tell us whether you think it’s smooth enough. You can also click here to visit last.fm’s Rick Braun section to hear more.
(from RickBraun.com) Rick Braun‘s been playing trumpet since he was a kid. No news there for the legions of fans his richly melodic playing style has attracted since the release of his first album,Intimate Secrets in 1993. Less known is the fact that he’s been a singer, and a good one (backing Rod Stewart and Sade among others, with vocals as well as his stellar trumpet) for most of his life, as well.
Rick Braun Sings With Strings brings both those skills front and center. And it does so in a way that dips back into the
music he’s been captivated by since he first picked up a horn.
“This album,” says Rick, “feels a lot like coming home. I grew up hearing this music all around the house. Singing it, playing it. Listening to my mom, who was a singer and piano player. She was one of those people who knew every part of a song – the verse, the chorus, the refrain, all the lyrics.” more

The North American International Auto Show is here and we hear a lot about this being the time of year when Detroit is in the international spotlight. That’s true but, what about us who don’t get wrapped up in the politics, economics and hype? What if you just love cars and what to get the most out of your visit to the Auto Show?more

It’s not vain to feel good about the way you look. Looking good helps you feel good and gives you confidence. Now that 2012 is here maybe you’d like a new look to go with the new year.
